Old suburban footy grounds are where football's greatest rivalries were fostered. The Saturday trek to football stadiums deep in enemy territory were a family tradition: "I'll meet a friend outside the ground. We'll argue over who's gonna win". Many of the fabled footy grounds of yesteryear have thankfully found new life as community hubs where locals can once more meet. You might even be able to run onto the field and play kick to kick!
