Take the South Melbourne tram to the Lakeside Oval and you you might see the odd swan sailing upon Albert Park lake. Picturesque South Melbourne became home to a slew of Western Australia's finest footballers in the early part of the 20th century (the black 'swans' that the suburb became famous for). Footy may have lost the fight to Keep South at South, but South Melbourne never lost the pride of the bloods. South Melbourne may not be big league, bit it makes a big dim sim!
